Why a kettlebell makes the perfect gift.

Wrapped in the perfect shape as a kettlebell and handed to me like a kettlebell, as I felt the weight, I knew straight away it was a kettlebell.

20kg to be precise and pure cast black iron.  It looked sweet and I loved it.   Instantly I started to do some ’round the heads’ and ‘one handed swings’ and obviously some ‘shoulder presses’.  Unfortunately I then had to head out for the family traditions and leave my new black beast at home, on the floor.

All day, I was thinking about my new kettle bell and what a great gift it makes.  It has to be the perfect gift for any man or woman who is into training or is just starting out.  If you had only one piece of home gym equipment then I think you can’t go wrong with a kettlebell.  If you want to make your man or woman happy and even fitter, buy them a kettlebell, I guarantee they will love it.

Kettlebells are inexpensive and you can combine strength training with cardio in a great quick all in one workout which will help build muscle, increase flexibility, strengthen your core and burn lots of calories.  If you haven’t trained with a kettlebell before, give it 2 months, 3 times a week and you will see the results.

Kettlebells are designed for high repetitions, therefore you don’t need a very heavy weight.  I like to do 1 minute rounds of each exercise with no breaks in-between.  For example I will do 10 x 1 min exercises as 1 set.  3-4 sets and there is 30-40 mins of exercise which can be done simply in the comfort of your own lounge.

Because training with kettle bells incorporates a lot more movement rather than the standard fixed body method associated with weight/strength training, you will activate lots more muscles which will increase your metabolism and burn more fat.  You will also increase your endurance or your muscles’ ability to repeatedly perform fast, powerful movements during an extended period.  Basically a real good all rounder,

This is my bad boy and I intend to make good use of it.  £34.99 from Amazon.

So, if you are ever struggling for a gift idea, then I don’t think you can go wrong with this.  After all, how can a gift which will improve someone’s life be at all bad?  They are amazing!

By the way, I felt quite bad looking up my own gift on Amazon, but hey, I’m here to share the love and I was thrilled to see this particular model has 5 stars.  A big thanks to my Love for this.

Stay Strong!
